Youth Services:

What is needed to make youth services an important part of the library’s service to the community? Following are a few suggestions we have been considering. However, we would very much like you to help us determine the right mix of fun, educational and timely activities that benefit this age group. Let us know what you think and please feel free to communicate your ideas or thoughts.

  • Story hours for different age groups. Suggest times that are convenient for your age group. We can always adjust/revise our open hours.

  • Book clubs for older children.

  • A mother-daughter book club.

  • Holiday craft workshops.

  • Board games on Saturday afternoon, after school, or in the evening.

  • Homework help.

  • Free movies for kids.

  • Reader’s theatre.

The library is a service organization, and we look forward to altering, creating, or expanding any service that helps to meet the community’s needs.

If you submit your email address here, we will announce new programs to you as they are introduced.

Contact us by email, phone or stop by for a chat! We look forward to hearing from you.

Animal Diversity

Animal Diversity Web (ADW) is an online database of animal natural history, distribution, classification, and conservation biology at the University of Michigan. Thousands of species accounts about individual animal species. These may include text, pictures of living animals, photographs and movies of specimens, and/or recordings of sounds. Students write the text of these accounts and we cannot guarantee their accuracy.
